Lancashire care home celebrated by local council for its ‘outstanding’ services

MHA Starr Hills has been celebrated by Lancashire County Council to make their ‘outstanding’ care services in the county.

Care home manager, Annette Williams, and activity co-ordinator, Camille Cutler, attended the celebration lunch as guests of honour.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated Starr Hills as ‘outstanding’ who care for 36 older people.

Councillor Anne Cheetham OBE, the chair of Lancashire County Council, congratulated all attendees for their hard work and achievements and said how important it was to give recognition to the services who had worked so hard to achieve such an accolade.

Ms Williams said: “We came away from there feeling very special and appreciated, and we were also given the opportunity to network and I have many ideas to take back to Starr Hills to continuously improve our service, we never stand still!”

The home received a floral display to present to their residents.
