Healthcare company win prestigious award at Laingbuisson Awards

Avery Healthcare, a premium care provider in the senior living sector in the UK, has won the ‘Excellence in Training’ at the Laingbuisson Awards on 15 November.

The care provider won the award for its comprehensive and sector leading training and development strategy and programme.

Henry Elphick, CEO of LaingBuisson, said: “The LaingBuisson Awards offer providers and advisors the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the most inspiring and innovative work across healthcare and social care in the independent sector.

“The nominations were hugely impressive and included many deserving projects, organisations and professionals who are dedicated to tremendous health and care causes.”

More than 1,000 people attended at the annual awards, which celebrates the best in health and social care.

Sandra Stark, Care and Quality Director for Avery Healthcare, said: “We have the best training and development team in the sector, led superbly by Shelley Parker-Wain, who has designed and implemented class-leading programmes for all levels of care and non-care staff, and has innovated with such strategies as the Advance Senior Carer program; that has been accredited by none other than City & Guilds and leads the sector in helping to support the pressure on nurses and adjusts the skills mix.

Avery Healthcare has a portfolio of 52 care homes with several new developments in build.
