Derbyshire care home ‘outstanding’ by health watchdog

The care staff team at Ecclesbourne Lodge in Duffield are celebrating their success following their recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

CQC inspectors awarded the home the top rating of ‘outstanding’ for being responsive to people’s needs and ‘good’ in the other CQC categories of safe, effective, well-led and caring.

Inspectors found significant evidence of service demonstrating how everything is tailored to meet the needs of the individuals living in the home and offers flexibility, choice and continuity of care.

The care team praised for their work in helping residents enjoy a wide range of activities, including reintroducing a resident to an activity they had previously loved, but stopped due to a change in circumstance.
