Quarry Mount Residential Care Home enjoyed meeting the gentle, fluffy creatures as a unique twist on their annual festivities.

The garden was decorated with bunting and other decoration to create a lively party atmosphere. Ukulele Piddle led sing-alongs and a singer Kelly performed live.

Sue Harris, director and owner of Quarry Mount Care Ltd, enjoyed the party and said: “Everyone had a wonderful time, the sun was shining, it was a delightful afternoon. I don’t think most of our residents had seen an alpaca before and we’ve never had them at an event before.

“They were very serene and calming animals that had come from Lane House Farm in Dauntsey. The residents really enjoyed the entertainment too, they were dancing and singing along. It was one of the best parties we’ve had.”

The home specialises in dementia care, physical disabilities and caring for the elderly. They were rated as ‘good’ in all categories by the Care Quality Commission.
