Lancashire care home entertained by singing doctor

Care home residents in Skelmersdale, Lancashire were entertained by a singing priest and GP last week.

Reverend doctor Anne Kazich bought her guitar to Aaron Crest Care Home and lead renditions of classic hymns and songs.

Adrienne Ratcliffe, home manager at Aaron Crest Care Home, said: “The aim of the singing sessions is to improve wellbeing and bring people together from across the community.

“Everyone had a wonderful time with lots of song and laughter and they are looking forward to the next session.”

Residents, visitors and staff all joined in with the event, and everyone participated in describing their thoughts and memories to the group.

The singalong sessions are open to anyone, and the next one will take place at 3pm on 22 November.
