Ex CQC inspector appointed as care home manager in Portsmouth

Michelle Presdee, a former Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspector, has been appointed the general manager of Hartford Care’s Hartford Court in Portsmouth.

Ms Presdee has an extensive amount of experience in the adult social care industry, starting as a ‘tea girl’ before progressing to be an auxillary nurse in a nursing home.

She has also worked as a social worker who specialised in working with older people and moving in to Care Homes.

The former CQC inspector of 20 years will now join Portsmouth’s city-cased care home to lead a team of 58 staff.

“I’m really excited and proud to be managing Hartford Court to share my experience and get to know the residents and team.

“My team at the CQC gave me the skills and experience to know Hartford Court is a home which ensure residents are central and will be at the heart of all decisions made. Residents will be supported and encouraged to continue to follow their hobbies and dreams. We have a beautiful environment both inside and outside and I look forward to welcoming guests and loved ones soon,” said Ms Presdee.

Hartford court is a 60-bed care home offering residential and dementia care to the elderly of Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
