Cheshire care home gulps down coffee and cake for National Cupcake Week

Fun, fun, fun in this care home

Residents, staff and families at a care home in Widnes, Cheshire hosted a tea party and dance in a bid to mark National Cupcake Week.

Halton View Care Home cooked treats with families and other staff members bringing in their own for the day.

Entertainment was provided by singer Junior Davies, who performed several songs from old movies.

The home also put on a disco for residents that had them all dancing on their feet – burning off the tasty treats.

Vicky Brown, home manager at Halton View Care Home, said: “Everyone had a great time at the National Cupcake Week party.

“There were flavours to suit every residents’ tastes and the cakes were thoroughly enjoyed by all

“I would like to say a big thank you to the families, staff and the cook for baking and Junior Davies for entertaining use with his old movie songs.”
