A Manchester care village, Belong Morris Feinmann, has received the national ‘Six Steps’ end of life accreditation, following its completion of the rigorous ‘Six Steps to Success’ programme.

The programme supports care homes to achieve measures set out by the Department of Health Quality Markers for care homes and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Essential Standards of Quality and Safety.

Deborah Baker, general manager at Belong Morris Feinmann, said: “We are delighted to be awarded the Six Steps end of life accreditation, which looks at organisational culture as well as the skills and knowledge base of our team.

“It is recognition that customers can be assured that we will deliver high quality end of life care and provide support and comfort at what can be a very difficult time.

“I would like to thank all colleagues for their unfaltering efforts to maintain the standards that have led to this commendation, which comes at a time when we are preparing to open our final two households in Disbury. We look forward to widening access to our high quality care and facilities as we expand the village to its full capacity.”
